More and more golfers are using social media to find places to play golf. This is no longer a medium for teenagers and students. Imagination Golf has updated its facebook presence and now runs a twitter feed.

09/06/11 – More clubs join the scheme.

After a slow but positive start Imagination Golf has now signed up 9 clubs in total. This means that participating players can now build up there points at multiple clubs.

We are hoping to add a steady stream of clubs over the coming months.

01/03/11 – Imagination Golf is launched

With the help of 3 clubs Imagination Golf has now been launched. Worldham, Surrey Downs and Petersfield are the first to take advantage of the loyalty scheme.

Early signed have been very encouraging and golfers are seeing the advantages already. They can continue playing the golf they want to play and earn loyalty bonuses for doing so.

One quote from a golfer who signed up to the scheme is "Great, because we like playing different golf clubs and now we can bet benefit from playing at particiapting clubs.

08/12/10 – Ready for the New Year!

The Beta testing has been very successful and we are confident the system will be robust and reliable when we launch it to the market.

Our intention is to finish off the final modifications during the month of December and launch the system to the initial set of clubs at the start of January 2011.

01/12/10 – New Graphic layout.

Imagination Golf continues to develop well. We have added a number of new features that we didn’t think we would be able to include in the first release. We have been working closely with the designers to ensure that the look and feel of the system is as good as it can be.

Imagination are a design based company and all of our projects have the developers and designers working closely together.

15/09/10 – Imagination Golf Starts Beta Testing.

4 Golf clubs have agreed to help test the system. We have given them a sneak preview and now they are testing it giving us feedback on what they like and how we can improve it further.

It is obviously designed to make it quick for the pro shop staff to capture data and add credits to the golfers cards.

Then in the back office we need the system to be informative and easy to use with regard to extracting the data created by the pro shop. The back office needs to be easy to understand and can be used by different people at the club.

If all goes well with the testing then we are hoping to go live with the system some point in October.

05/08/10 - Imagination Golf in progress

The advantage golf scheme is under way. Imagination are putting the final touches on the specification and development will begin shortly. We expect to go live with the system before the Winter 2010. This means we should have good data and club support before the new season starts in 2011

There have already been a number of clubs agree to join the scheme. It is our intention to go live with at least 20 clubs so that there will be a good range for golfers to get the benefit from. We are well on our way to achieving that number and to date not one of the clubs we have spoken to has said “No”.

01/05/10 - Imagination Golf takes shape

After years of planning and kicking around ideas, Imagination has finally committed to build this internet based loyalty and data capture system.

"I have had this idea for over 4 years and have been convinced that there is merit in it but every time I think of how it should work, I find a flaw and have to back off" says director Ian Coupland. He continued, "But now I believe I have found the right formula and following discussions with several friends and respected colleagues I am very enthusiastic about what we are doing."

Imagination Golf is the climax of a lot of time and effort and we are all really looking forward to getting it off the ground. This will be great for golfers and golf clubs alike and we can't wait!
